Dallas Embry has passed along the following information he has received from songwriter Billy Edd Wheeler ("Coward of the County," "Jackson,") regarding the Great Smokies Song Chase Camp, A Camp for Songwriters:

Five full days of seminars; hands-on criticism; feedback from super songwriters; publisher info; copyrighting and more. Dates are August 7-12, 1989. Place: Warren Wilson College, Swannanoa, North Carolina.

If you receive your Louisville Music News a little bit early, you may still have time to take advantage of the Third Annual Songwriter's Weekend at Barren River State Resort Park in Lucas, Ky.

L.A.S.C. members John Gage and Alan Rhody will host the weekend activities, which include open stage concerts, a critique session and a BMI licensing and publishing workshop.
