U.S. Joins Berne Union

Effective March 1, 1989

Gary Falk, Falk Recording Service, has sent us a copy of Copyright Office Circular 93, "Highlights of U.S. Adherence to the Berne Convention." The Berne Convention is an international treaty for the protection of literary and artistic works. The U.S. joined the Berne Union on March 1 of this year, and the protection provided by the treaty became effective as of that date.
