Collaboration session. Bring some Christmas ideas! We'd like to write some seasonal songs to be played at the Christmas party which will be the following meeting.
Christmas party. Bring your guitars for some pickin' and singin' and Yuletide cheerin'. Finished songs from the previous collaboration session and old standards will be played.
February – Kim Greene, an attomey with Wyatt Tarrant & Combs, will speak to us on the legal aspects of the music business.
To be scheduled – Bill Porter, President of Allen-Martin Productions, will give an excellent presentation on the "History of Rock 'N' Roll." Mr. Porter has engineered such stars as the late Elvis Presley and Roy Orbison.
Frank Pittman from Bowling Green will give a presentation on guitar making. He studied under the late Hascal Haile, guitar maker for none other than Chet Atkins.
Richard Van Kleeck, the Lonesome Pine Specials "Specialist," will give us an idea of what goes on behind the scenes at those popular concerts.
We are in the process of scheduling someone to give a presentation on lyrics and meter.
