Former Louisvillian Alan Rhody and his wife Kathy were guests at a gold record party for country star Lorrie Morgan at Ryman Auditorium on May 16. Ms. Morgan was at the RCA Records party to pick up the award for selling a half-million copies of her Leave the Light On LP. It was her first gold record.
Rhody was photographed with Ms. Morgan as she signed a poster of "Trainwreck Of Emotion." The poster is the same as the one that accompanied each single of the Rhody-penned "Trainwreck" that was sent to record stations.
The wall at Rhody's home must be getting a bit crowded, as the total gold records now number six. "Trainwreck" provided his fifth as a writer and his first as a publisher.
Not to mention those four platinum ones.
