Down On The Corner

The Blues Society / Homefront bash at Bellarmine was pretty well covered by the local press. Besides LMN, Courier writer Ronni Lundy was in the crowd, as well as River City Reviews staffer Melanie Roesser. Bellarmine officials are uncertain about future events in the hall but are exploring possibilities.

da Mudcats guitarist Rob Pickett called to say that the new version of Buster Brown is in L.A. recording new material. Several labels are interested and hanging around. No additional details are available.

Pickett also reported the Sweet F. A.'s album, "Stick To Your Guns," on MCA, is now in the stores.

Becky Bennett reported that she's managed to get on the list for some commercial work, recently doing a "spec" demo for a local bank.

Our condolences to Mudcats harmonica master Jim Rosen for the loss of his wife Kimberly in a automobile accident.

Louisville gospel singer Larnelle Harris was up for a Grammy but, alas, he didn't win. Better luck next year, Larnelle.
