Recent Recording Releases

The Bobby Lanz Band has released a four-song EP, entitled The Bobby Lanz Band. They're getting airplay on WLRS and WDJX with a tune that Lanz co-wrote with Ron Gambrell, "Love's Not Something A Lady Should Fake." The project was recorded at Audiovisions, with Rick Boone and Lanz producing. The group is scheduled to play at Splash during Derby week. Look for the cassette at MusicLand and Shively Records.

Bob Holt & Prime Time have released Prime Time Favorites on cassette. The tape, recorded at CenterStage Productions, features the songs that are the most-requested at Prime Time's gigs. The group has just been added to the SummerScene program and plays around town. Copies are available at performances by the band, or by calling Bob Holt at 969-0965.

Ocilla Lawson, a Louisville songwriter, has released a cassette of children's tunes, entitled Grandma Lawson Presents: Imagine With Me! Recorded at Allen-Martin Productions, the tapes can be ordered from: Ocilla Lawson, 8004 Huntsman Trail, Louisville, KY 40291. They are also available in some local record stores.

Big Ole Records is reporting excellent sales of Karen Dean's Double Dip, a recent cassette release of children's songs, some of which are Dean originals. The tape was recorded at Falk's and is available from Big Ole Records, 6703 Mayfair Ave, Prospect, KY 40059 or at various local record stores.
