Louisville Orchestra Honors Long-Time Supporter

Principal Oboe Chair to be Named After Betty Arrasmith

Nine days prior to her 89th birthday, Mrs. William S. Arrasmith learned that the Principal Oboe Chair being endowed by the Association of The Louisville Orchestra will be named in her honor.

The chair will be publicly identified as the Betty Arrasmith Principal Oboe Chair, sponsored by the Association of The Louisville Orchestra. This recognition has been bestowed upon Mrs. Arrasmith in appreciation for her active role as a member of the A. L. O. since 1950.

The A. L. O. has seven hundred members and its purpose is to assist The Louisville Orchestra in ticket sales, education programs, fund-raising and hospitality.
