Award-Winning Bluegrass Band to Perform at "Double Benefit"

Opal McGee, a heart surgery patient, and 26-year-old Chuck Tipton, who was paralyzed in an auto accident, are at the heart of a "Double Benefit" in Simpsonville, Ky., on March 9.

Kentucky Blue, the 1986 State Bluegrass Band Champions, and Picketts Crossing, said to be one of the finest vocal trios in this part of the country, will entertain during the evening.

Also scheduled are the Cross Country Cloggers and two young fiddlers, 8-year-old Daniel Nation and 9-year-old Jeremy Cottrell.

The entertainment starts at 7:30 p.m'. at the Old Simpsonville Gym on U.S. Highway 60, and continues till 11:00.

It's a family show, with concessions and doorprizes.
