The following are some of my favorite selections.

Colors of JazzFrom Hollywood, For Sunday Morning, From Dusk til Dawn, For Tropical Nights (CBS).

A series of four albums compiling some of pop music's best songs in a jazz-style arrangement. These albums are soft and melodic; good mood setters.

Danny Gatton 88 Elmira St. (Elektra). This is one you probably haven't heard much about. Gatton mixes a blend of ripping blues, rock and country. An instrumentally sound album that pickers will love.

Aaron NevilleWarm Your Heart (CBS). This newest effort from Neville is a soft, sexy vocal album featuring duets with Linda Ronstadt. There are a couple of songs that just don't seem to fit the mood of the album, but overall, it is pleasingly diverse.

Bonnie RaittLuck of the Draw (Capitol). Probably the best Bonnie Raitt ever. This album features bluesy soul, funk and a couple of real tear-jerking ballads. A perfect follow-up to the incredible Nick of Time.
