Indiana State University Annual Composition Competition Accepting Entries

Entries in the annual Indiana State University composition competition will be accepted until February 1. The winning composition will be performed by the Louisville Orchestra at Indiana State's 26th Contemporary Music Festival September 30 through October 2 in Terre Haute.

Members of the Louisville Orchestra will screen the compositions and LO music director Lawrence Leighton Smith will make the final selection. Scores must use standard orchestration or less.

The festival features contemporary chamber and symphonic works. Composer David Del Tredici will be principal guest composer for the 1992 event. The winning composer from the competition will also be a guest during the festival.
