and a 1 and a 2 ...

And 10 and 11 and... Wow! There was an impressive list of songs critiqued last month. Over 21 songs, by 14 writers were listened to and commented on. If this is an indication of the effort and talent going into songs for the August contest, then this year should be better than ever.

Songs were submitted byRay Burden, Earl Meyers, Tim Lynch, Ray Yates, Mike Boehnlein, Bill Rowland, JoAnn Hatcher, Mike Layman, Tom Florian, Andrew Roberts, Mike Tilford,Patrick Fitzgerald, Glenda McCoy, and new memberJoe Forgacs.

If you had a song up for critique and we ran out of time, please be sure to tell me at the next critique session and I will make sure your song gets played. All new members should remember that critiques are meant to help improve your songwriting. Don't take comments too personally. If I took the critique of my last song personally, I'd just go ahead and shoot myself.

Any one interested in joining the LASC or wanting more information can call me at 502-969-1326, and I will be glad to answer any questions and forward a membership application.
