Waterside Art and Blues Festival Line-up Announced

The seventh Waterside An and Blues Festival, organized by the Louisville Visual Ans Association, is scheduled for the weekend of July 3 -5. Once again, the show will bring some familiar national acts to town. The three-day show will have music going on all afternoon and into the evening, beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The MainStage concerts will begin at 8 p.m. each night.

On Friday, the headliners will be Texas redhot Marcia Ball, whose set last year was interrupted by a power outage, the Beat Daddys and Curtis and the Kicks. Opening dthe afternoon part of the show will be Pinkerton & Norris, followed by Smoketown Red.

Saturday, the main acts will be the Legendary Blues Band, formerly Muddy Waters' band, harmonica whiz Charlie Musselwhite and Pinetop Perkins, who will be backed by the Legendary Blues Band. The openers in the afternoon will be Curtis Marlatt, then Pinkerton & Norris and the duo of Jim Rosen and John Burgard.

The Sunday show will feature the Metropolitan Blues All-Stars, Big Shoulders and Lonnie Brooks. The Rib Tip Kings will open the afternoon show, followed by MR2 Blue Band and da Mudcats.

Admission to the show is: $18 for a three-day pass; $7 combination Art/Blues Festival & Mainstage concerts; and $3.50 for the Arts/Crafts show and the regional blues.
