MEMBER NEWS WELCOME, NEW MEMBERS!

By Diana Black

What would you think if I told you Bonnie Raitt and Michael Jackson are the two newest members of the Co-op? Yeah, me to!! Of course they aren't, but since I didn't have anyone to include in the new member article this month, I thought it would be fun to imagine what our organization would be like to attract someone of their caliber.

Then I reminded myself of the 'power panel" we had at the November seminar. No. those highly respected music industry representatives are not Co-op members, but they respect LASC enough to continue supporting us by giving of their expertise and free time. You know, we've got a pretty dynamite organization without Bonnie and Michael! (Of course, I don't think any of us would object if they wanted to join anyway!) New members joining this month, although too late to put in anything about them, are Gary Duggam, Glenda McCoy, Ray Yates and Reed Wilcox. They have been issued numbers 406 to 409, respectively. More about them in upcoming issues.

Often new members have questions concerning the Co-op or the music industry in general; please don't hesitate to call me at 502-893-0693. Or ask any of our LASC members. The very heart of the cooperative is working together and helping each other.

Anyone interested in joining the LASC or wanting more information about the organization is also welcome to call me at the above number and I will be glad to answer any questions and/or forward a membership application.

PLEASE NOTE: The Co-op would like to encourage new members to include with their completed application an attached page with biographical information.

Our welcome column is the perfect place to 'let yourself be known!"

RE-MEMBER-ING

We don't want to forget to thank those members who have renewed their membership for another year: Brenda Bowlin, Rebecca Brown, Lisa Gray, Tim Lynch, David Miller, Patrick Moore, Gary Pottinger and Larry Rollins.
