Add another event to your Derby schedule, if you have any energy left. This one is the First Annual Oak Street Derbytime Homecoming Jazz Fair, Sunday , May 3, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Oak Street between 6th and Garvin Place.
There'll be a raffle to give away a seven-night vacation package in the Bahamas. Raffle tickets will set you back a buck. The drawing will be at 9:00 p.m.
The Jazz Fair will feature a solid line-up of local jazz talent, as well as the usual array of food, beer, art and craft booths and what have you. The event is sponsored by the Oak Street Corridor Business Association. Proceeds will benefit the Association as well as charity.
