LASC Jam Night

After all of the work that the LASC membership has put into events in 1992, we decided we were way overdue to have a little fun. Bring your acoustic guitar, original tunes and a party attitude to the union hall for the LASC Unplugged Jam Night. If you play keyboards instead of guitar then don't fret (pun intended) there is a grand piano at the hall.

Be at the Federation of Musicians Union hall at 1436 Bardstown Road at Eastern Parkway at 7:30 PM. The building is to the immediate left of St. James church; parking and the entrance is in the rear.

MEMBER NEWS

By Ray Yates

We are happy to welcome new members Kenny Burch, Jonathan Miller, Philip Stone, and Sissy Wells; number 431 through 434.

Jonathan Miller of Louisville performed and entertained while in college and then formed a band playing rock and original music in Cincinnati. Jonathan has had several songs critiqued. His style is Folk Rock and is interested in collaborating.

Philip Stone is a native of Louisville and has played with the bands Sassy and Nuvo. He is a graduate of Indiana University with degrees in Telecommunications and Audio Tech. Phil is a finalist in the LASC Songwriters contest in the Blues/R & B category and has produced a very slick tape of his music. We'll be looking for you at the next meeting.

Sissy Wells lives in Radclif, KY She plays guitar and trumpet and sings. Sissy started writing music 14 years ago and just got back into it. The song she had a song critiqued at the last meeting received a pretty favorable response. Keep em coming Sissy.

Kenny Bunch No information was available as of this writing.

It seems everyone has found their way over to the Music Union Hall. Attendance at the meetings continues to be good. This month critique sessions included songs by Jonathan Miler, Tammy Moses, Michael Layman, Ray Burden, Earl Meyers, Tony Cestaro, Scott Furlong, Jack Roberts, Ray Yates, Sissy Wells, Mark Gibbs, Tim Lynch, and Tom Florian

Any one interested in joining the LASC or wanting more information can call me at 502-969-1326, and I will be glad to answer any questions and forward a membership application. Please, include the attached biographical information with your application. It helps us to know something about our new members. The welcome column is great place to let yourself be known.
