Bands Needed for November Industry Showcase

The Louisville Area Songwriters' Cooperative is seeking bands to perform on its November 1993 Showcase. The November Showcase, called Hit Makers 93, presents label-ready acts and songs to music industry professionals.

Interested bands must live within one hundred and fifty miles of Louisville, must be gigging regularly and must be seriously interested in acquiring a record deal. Acts must also be willing to listen to material from members of the LASC and perform at least three such songs on the Showcase.

The LASC's Hit Makers '92 Showcase at Jim Porter's Good Time Emporium in November of 1992 was attended by Artist & Repertoire (A&R) staff from Liberty, PolyGram and Warner Bros. Records, several music publisher representatives, representatives from the three major performing rights organizations (ASCAP, BMI SESAC) and artist management and promotion companies.

Interested bands should submit a cassette tape containing three songs to the LASC by May 15. For additional information and Showcase guidelines, write to: LASC, P. O. Box 16, Pewee Valley, KY 40056, or call 502-231-5559.
