Musicians Ink Three-Year Deal with Louisville Orchestra

The Louisville Orchestra Society and the American Federation of Musicians have agreed on a new three-year contract for the orchestra's musicians.

Features of the agreement include: a unilateral wage freeze for administration and musicians during the 93-94 season, followed by 2.1 percent wage increases in 94-94 and 95-96; ex-officio orchestra board positions for two musicians; a new incentive compensation program; a sabbatical option and update health care. Additional agreements concerning leave and vacation, as well as travel changes, are included.
