The LASC would like to welcome new member Ed O'Connor. Ed writes lyrics and is looking for members to co-write with. If you would like to contact Ed about his lyrics, call me, and I will be happy to pass his telephone number along. We are looking forward to hearing some of Ed's material at upcoming critique sessions.

The Board would like to welcome new Board members Wayne Young and Jonathan Miller. They participated in their first meeting of the Board last month and got to see first hand the marvel of formal organization and coordination that characterizes the inner workings of the LASC. (NOT!)

But seriously, to those about to serve, we salute you.

There was a decent showing for the LASC Jam at the Twice-Told Coffee house last month. As the only keyboard player present in the midst of a stage full of guitarists, I decided to play bass on the keyboard so each of the players could get in their chops. The playing was cut short, however, by a poetry reading. There is a fair amount of interest in these jam sessions. Perhaps some of the members out there would be interesting in hosting a session at your home. If so, let me know and I will be glad to mention it in this column.

Jackie Johnson, Rebecca Brown, and Cliff Juckett renewed their memberships last month. Thank you for your continued support.

Any one interested in joining the LASC or wanting more information can call me at 502-969-1326, and I will be glad to answer any questions and forward a membership application.
