Austin (Texas) Songwriters Group presents its 4th annual Song Competition at Steamboat Springs on Saturday, December 4, 1993. A songwriting seminar will be given by Dave Powell from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and an awards ceremony will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Cash prizes will be given in four categories (country, rock, pop and rap/blues/reggae/jazz) for first ($300 cash, plus five hours of studio time), second ($150) and third ($75) place. Judging will be done by industry professionals. You need not be present to win. Entries must be received by November 13, 1993. Grand prize winners (3) will have their songs recorded by an award-winning group of musicians which will be distributed throughout the world for radio airplay.
