<p class="normalfirst"> The Louisville Association of Music Performers, Inc. presented its Eighth Annual Godfrey Radford Music Awards at Central High School auditorium on April 24. </p>
<p class="normal"> A high point of the ceremony came when the West Louisville Boys Choir sang "Lord I Want to Be a Christian." Their <i>a cappella</i> rendition of the beloved gospel song earned for them two standing ovations.  </p>
<p class="normal"> Winners of the L.A.M.P. awards were: </p>
<p class="normal"> Performer of the Year: <b>Jerry Green &amp; Friends.</b></p>
<p class="normal"> Best Gospel Performer: <b>Straight Company</b>.</p>
<p class="normal"> Best House: <b>Ron Blumer.</b></p>
<p class="normal"> Best Vocal Performer, Male: <b>Jerry Green.</b></p>
<p class="normal"> Best Vocal Performer, Female: <b>Johnetta Hughes.</b></p>
<p class="normal"> Best Rap Performer: <b>Undaground</b>.</p>
<p class="normal"> Best Instrumental Performer: <b><br/> Fusion.</b></p>
