<p class="normalfirst">The National Quartet Conven- tion was held Sept. 18-23 at the Kentucky Fair &amp; Exposition Center, its second consecutive year in Louisville. Approximately 35,000 people attended the event, which featured the 25th Annual Singing News Fan Awards on the 21st.</p>
<p class="normal">The NQC has a commitment to hold its conventions in Louisville through the year 2000, and recently purchased a site on Outer Loop near Smyrna Road for construction of its new headquarters. The 6,000 sq. ft. facility, to be completed in time for NQC's 1966 convention (scheduled for Sept. 16-21), will also house a Southern Gospel radio station. </p>
