It All Starts With A Song

The deadline for entries for the Tin Pan South I996 "lt All Begins With A Song" contest is March 15.

The contest, sponsored by American Airlines, Loew's Hotels and Washburn Guitar, is open to anyone who does not derive his/her primary source of income from songwriting.

The -grand prize is two round-trip airline tickets to Nashville for the 1996 Tin Pan South Festival (April 16-20), six nights hotel accommodations for two, two passes to all Tin Pan South '96 shows, an opportunity to perform the winning song at a live acoustic performance during Tin Pan South '96, and one three-hour writing session with a professional hit songwriter.

Second- and third-place prizes are Washburn acoustic guitars.

The competition will be judged by a panel of top music industry professionals that will include a music publisher, a hit producer, an A&R representative from a major record label, an artist manager and a representative from a performing rights organization.
