LJ's Bar & Grill

located at the corner of Cane Run Road and Campground Road has announced that they are presenting live country bands from the Metro area on Friday and Saturday nights. The modest cover charge of only one dollar allows them to continue to offer $2. drink specials on weekends.

- Bands interested in booking should contact Ronnie Davis at 772-3009 with a tape/promo kit and current dates where your act can be seen.

is Hikes Point newest rock/alternative room. Located in the building which last housed Bobby McGee's, just off Hikes Lane at Richland Avenue, the Casino will be presenting local bands as well as regional and national acts. Look for 'Tribute' bands.

- Dennis Gray at 456-0770 does the booking. Get him a tape/promo kit for consideration. The room sports a relatively large stage with house sound ( if needed ) and two double row light trees.

Hide Away Saloon

at XXXX Bardstown Road is tucked away beside the familiar Bardstown and Bonnycastle landmark Leatherhead. If you blink, you might miss it, but if you find it, you might like it. It's a small, cozy room presenting acoustic and eclectic singles, duos and trios.

- A rather small stage accommodates two people with instruments and a small sound system comfortably. A square listening area (rather than the all-too-common shotgun layout) directly off the raised stage and lots of wood should make this an intimate and acoustically pleasing room. You can call 555-9999 but the best booking bet is to take a tape/promo kit to Jim Allen after 5 pm during the week.
