Hey pit people, what's up? Read on for some news……..
I want to let everyone know about a new place in town where you can go hear some original metal music. The club is the Borderline Lounge, 142 Outer Loop, just off Old Third Street Road. The Borderline Lounge is open six nights a week and features original music on Wednesday nights. The club also features karaoke, pool tables and drink specials every night.
In the next couple of months, they plan to feature all-original bands. The club has a large stage, cool lighting, and good sound for the bands that play there.
Metal fans, listen up. July 26 will be the grand opening night for the Borderline, when the club reveals it's new name.
That night, there will be a huge outdoors show featuring Inhuman, Creed, Luther, Shapeless Matrix, Mindstorm, Point of Anger, and others.
People, this is gonna be a gigantic metal fest!!!! Everyone get your butts out to this show and let's get one hell of a pit going!! For more information, call the Borderline Lounge at 361-9958.
· Here are some other shows for the month of July. On July 11, Creed and Blacklisted will play an all-ages show at The Sugar Doe Café. Friday, July 18 at the Borderline Lounge, Inhuman, Dancin' with Manson, Contortion, and Engrind will blow out our eardrums. Then again on the 19th, Inhuman, Luther, Dump Gang, and Engrind will be at the same place, same time. Be there or be square!
· Inhuman is putting the final touches on a seven-song EP titled Future Kill. The band plans to release this in July. I have heard a sneak preview and it is definitely some raw and heavy music.
· Hope everyone got to check out Wasp and Motorhead at the Toy Tiger in June. It was a killer show – see more next issue.
