News From The Pit
By Laura Spaulding

Greetings to all Metalheads! Sorry I don't have a whole lot of news for you - time ran away from me this month! Read on for a few tidbits. . . . . . . . .

Seems we had quite a lot of metal shows this past month - hope you got to catch 'em.

*August 18 brought us operatic metal from Mercyful Fate/King Diamond - they played the Toy Tiger with My Own Victim opening the show. Please see the show review by Eddy Metal in this issue.

*August 19 brought back memories from the metal 80's when Ratt played the Tiger.

*A couple of other happenin' shows that went on at the Tiger were Flaw and Shapeless Matrix on August 25, followed by Cut Love Kill, Flaw, and Crone on August 26.

Kudos to Perry & the folks at the Tiger for their support of heavy music!

* Inhuman, back together with the original lineup, played their first show in six months at The Firehouse in Richmond, Kentucky on August 8. They debuted a killer new song, "The Follower."

Pownd and Twist also played this show. Twist has a new singer and the band's style is more heavy and hard-core than before. For booking info. on Twist - contact - Michelle Mouyeos @ (606)986-1103.

* P. J.'s is re-opening with some cool shows - Be there! !

* Two nights of metal start the month. September 4, starting at 9 p.m., will feature Inhuman, Pownd from Frankfort and Oddyssey from Indy.

Night 2, September 5, is billed as a Reopening Bash, and will feature Incursion, Shapeless Matrix, Engrind, Snatch, Inhuman and Psuedoepoxy from Dayton. Show starting time is 7 p.m.

There are many more shows scheduled in September- please call P. J.'s @ 368-9911 for more information.

Well, I'm out of here for now - see ya in the Pit! Later!
