Music Library Association to Meet in Louisville

The Music Library Association (MLA) will hold its 69th Annual Meeting at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Louisville on February 23-26. The gathering will kick off with "Regional Music and Musicians," featuring talks from U of K professor Dr. Ron Pen, plus Drs. Paul Brink and Jack Ashworth from U of L. Other sessions will focus on copyright issues in the information age and music reference sources.

A special trip to Bloomington is scheduled, with visits to several Indiana University libraries, including the William & Gayle Cook Music Library, The Lilly Library, the Archives of Traditional Music and the library of the Kinsey Institute on the tour.

A cocktail reception, hosted by Grove's Dictionaries, Inc., will be held at The Spire Restaurant in the Hyatt Regency. Entertainment will be by the University of Louisville Early Music Ensemble, plus post-banquet lessons in English country dance music.
