Kitty O'Kirwans - Party Central

I hope you got your November edition right away, otherwise you'll miss the goings on at Kitty O'Kirwans on November 1 and 2. Kitty's is celebrating Halloween in style and the festivities carry over into the rest of the weekend. Tenrec will perform on Saturday night - if you haven't heard this group and Richard Burchard, then you are missing some great music. Also, proprietor Sean Ford has some special surprises for audience members that night. On Sunday is the gathering with Cloigheann capping off the day with an evening performance. Rumor has it that Drowsy Maggie may even come out of retirement for a performance on Sunday afternoon. I know I'd like to see Maggie dust herself off and get back onstage! Don't forget the sessions ar Kitty's every Thursday night, a great chance to play with some of Louisville's finest celtic musicians.

Sunday jam at Molly Malone's

Thursdays not a good night to get out you say? Well then how about a Sunday jam with Aviv Naamani and other members of The Pail at Molly Malone's. Head on over around 4 p.m. as folks wander in and begin to play. It's a good chance to hear and learn some Scottish and Prince Edward Island tunes.

Galloglass has the Holiday Spirit

Every year you say you're going to go and then you wait until it's too late and the show is sold out. Here's your early reminder folks - Galloglas is doing its 8th Annual Celtic Christmas Concert at the Rudyard Kipling Saturday, December 6 at 8 p.m.. Call 636-1311 for reservations. It has been sold out every year. Their "Galloglas Christmas" as well as "Turning Colors" CD's will be available at the show and at the Shelbyville Road Borders Books & Music. Thanks to the musicians of Galloglass for creating a wonderful Christmas tradition for celtic music lovers!
