Down On The Corner
By Paul Moffett

Spring is not far away, now that March has arrived and we can be glad that up to this point, the winter has not been all that terrible. This means, of course, that music fans can get out to hear their favorite and to-be-favorite live music. I encourage that, of course. With several Louisville bands already making progress on the national front and others not far behind, the opportunities for you to to get the experiences that will allow you to say "I knew them when" (and variations thereupon) continue to proliferate. Twin Limb in particular seems to be on that branch.

In the meantime, I would like you to take note of an upcoming event that will help provide assistance to musicians who run into trouble. That is the MERF Madness event featuring The Tunesmiths, The Muddy Walters, Nellie Pearl, Phourist & The Photons and Wallace & The Groove Hounds. It happens on April 3, doors at 4 p.m. music at 5 p.m. at Diamond Pub & Billiards, 630 Barrett Ave., Louisville, KY. Tickets are $10. Be there.
